Foto Friday – Fisherman on Busua Beach

A friend bargains for lobster for us to have a feast.

Reflecting on my time in Ghana, I came across this photo (taken on my iPhone. Excuse the size!) which is actually one of my favorite photos I’ve taken. In November 2012, I traveled with a few friends to a music festival on Busua Beach, a fishing town west of Takoradi and about 3.5 hours from Accra. The music concert was pretty cool, but the highlight for me was the next morning where my friends and I strolled the beach to find lobster. We didn’t stray far. Actually this happened right in front of where we were staying. I don’t recall how much lobster we bought, but I do remember the price coming out to be about $3.00/lobster. Now that I think about it, this could have possibly been one of the best days of my life!
